In Krasnoyarsk, a 36-year-old man set fire to an outbuilding with a sleeping friend in order to hide a terrible crime. This was reported to the Investigative Committee.
The tragedy occurred on the night of April 18-19 in an outbuilding on Svobodny Avenue. According to investigators, three acquaintances drank alcohol. During the feast, a 49-year-old man fell asleep, and a conflict broke out between the accused and a 30-year-old woman.
During the quarrel, the man grabbed a knife and hit the woman in the chest. She died on the spot.
“In order to hide traces of the crime committed, the attacker set fire to things in the building. Knowing that his sleeping acquaintance remained in the room, the accused left the scene. The man’s death occurred as a result of thermal exposure,” the Investigative Committee said.

A criminal case was opened on this fact. The suspect was detained, the man was charged under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder of two persons). The investigation intends to petition for his arrest.
