George Simion, upset that AUR was not invited to the consultations: “It reminds us of the fact that the quarrels in the Coalition were triggered by Nicușor Dan”

The head of AUR, George Simion, said on Wednesday that he was disturbed by the fact that no opposition party was invited to the consultations organized by President Nicușor Dan, at the Cotroceni Palaceafter PSD withdrew its support from Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan.

“It is an insult to our voters. As you have seen, the old labels, the thoughts of some that it is not good to discuss with us have disappeared from the political spectrum, but Nicușor Dan has remained with the old metehnes. It is not a presidential attitude and this thing leads us to think, including the fact that the current quarrels in the Coalition were triggered by Nicușor Dan”, declared the AUR leader at the Parliament.

Simion criticized PSD and PNL and the leadership of the two political formations, stating that he would vote for any censure motion against the Bolojan Government, including one submitted by the Social Democrats.

However, the AUR president claimed that the PSD is not “a serious party” and doubts that the formation led by Sorin Grindeanu will file a no-confidence motion, even if the social democrats withdrew their support from the PNL leader, Ilie Bolojan.

George Simion criticized the governing parties for only taking decisions against the citizens and claimed that they actually want to continue this Coalition.

“It was a disastrous Government. It was a disastrous coalition. And if they were so weak in administering the country, why do they still want to administer it?” said the AUR chief.

Nicușor Dan met on Wednesday morning with PSD and PNL representatives, at the Cotroceni Palace, two days after the start of the political crisis. In the afternoon, the president will also meet with the representatives of the UDMR, the national minorities and the USR.
