Parents and guardians can count on one-time support after the birth of a baby as part of a baby shower. The condition is the fulfillment of certain requirements, one of which determines the granting of support.
How much is the baby allowance in 2026? Baby blankets for whom?
As “Gazeta Prawna” reminds, the amount of the benefit does not change and amounts to PLN 1,000 net for each child born. This amount is paid once and is not taxable.
In order to receive becikowe, you cannot exceed the income threshold set in 2026 at PLN 1,922 net per person per household. Income from the year preceding the benefit period is taken into account.

It is worth remembering that exceeding the threshold even by one zloty results in a refusal to grant the benefit. In the case of a barrel-aged one, the rule does not apply – which is applied, among others, in calculating the amount of family allowance or 14th pension.

As “Gazeta Prawna” reminds, if you want to apply for a baby benefit, you must follow the medical documentation. In practice, this means that the child's mother must remain under medical care no later than from the 10th week of pregnancy until delivery.
This is confirmed by a certificate from a doctor or midwife. Only legal and actual guardians and adoptive parents are exempt from this obligation.

An application for a baby allowance must be submitted within 12 months of the child's birth or entry into care. This can be done electronically via the Emp@tia portal or traditionally at the commune, city or social welfare center.
What documents are needed when applying for a pension? The application must be accompanied by a medical certificate, income documents, a photocopy of the identity card and a statement that the benefit has not already been received by the other parent. Becikowe can be combined with the 800+ benefit.

Parents who are not entitled to maternity benefit may apply for parental benefit in addition to the child benefit and 800+ benefit. Colloquially called “mower support”, it is an important help. It is often used by students or the unemployed.
You can receive this benefit for a period of 52 weeks, unless your parents have given birth to twins or triplets. Then the period is extended. However, the amount of support does not change and is independent of the number of offspring – Kosiniak children are PLN 1,000 per month.
