“Fascist creature” Soloviev barked rudely at Meloni. What was the response in Italy?

In the published fragment, Soloviev used the word putta (short form of puttana) in Italian, which is a gross insult of a sexual nature. He also accompanied this with derogatory characterizations of Meloni and allegations of her alleged “betrayal” of political allies.

“This Meloni, a fascist creature, betrayed her voters because she walked with completely different slogans. Well, betrayal is her middle name. She betrayed and [президента США Дональда] Trump, to whom I had previously sworn allegiance,” Soloviev said.

Against the backdrop of these words, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani summoned Russian Ambassador Alexei Paramonov to the Foreign Ministry. The head of the diplomatic department reported this on the social network X.

“I have summoned the Russian Ambassador Paramonov to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to express an official protest following the extremely serious and offensive statements made by TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov on Russian television to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, to whom I express my full solidarity and support,” Tajani wrote.
