VIDEO Operation like in the movies after a huge Iranian ship did not want to stop. Stopped with “a hole in the engine room” then rappelled down the marines

The US Navy rammed a huge Iranian warship that refused to stop in the Gulf of Oman and then US Marines flew in overnight by helicopter to take control of it, according to President Donald Trump and the US military's Central Command (CENTCOM).

“An Iranian-flagged cargo boat named TOUSKA, nearly 274 meters long and weighing almost the same as an aircraft carrier, attempted to bypass our naval blockade but was unsuccessful,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.

According to him, the Iranian ship was intercepted by the American destroyer USS Spruance in the Gulf of Oman, which had previously warned it to stop.

“The Iranian crew refused to listen, so our ship stopped them by blowing a hole in their engine room. At this time, the US Marines have the ship under their control. The Touska is under US Treasury sanctions due to its history of illegal activities. We have full control of the ship and we are verifying what is on board!”, the US president added.

For its part, CENTCOM confirmed that US Marines aboard the USS Tripoli took control of the ship through a spectacular operation in which they crossed the Arabian Sea by helicopter.

“U.S. Marines bailed out the Iranian-flagged ship on April 20 after the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) disabled the Touska's propulsion after the merchant ship disobeyed repeated warnings by U.S. forces over a six-hour period,” Central Command said, posting images of the operation on X.

“After Touska's crew failed to heed repeated warnings over the course of six hours, Spruance ordered the ship to evacuate its engine room. Spruance disabled Touska's propulsion system by firing several volleys from the destroyer's MK 45 5-inch gun into Touska's engine room. American sailors from the Marine Expeditionary Unit no. 31 later boarded the non-compliant vessel, which remains in US custody,” according to CENTCOM.

Iran condemned the US seizure of the ship, calling it an act of “armed piracy” and threatened to take action, according to Al-Jazeera. The operation took place hours after Donald Trump announced that he was sending his team to Islamabad for possible talks with Iran.
