Krasnoyarsk residents helped choose the names for the Arctic wolf cub from the “Road Stream”. This was told in the press service of the Flora and Fauna Park.
Three wolf cubs were born four months ago, April 19. To select names on July 18, the park administration turned to subscribers in social networks. Under the post in the telegram channel, more than 150 options were offered, and in VKontakte-145.
As a result, the female was given a name Freya, and the males were called Hati and School. The participants in the competition who proposed these names received one adult and children's ticket to the “Roos stream”.
It was also reminded in the park that the dad of the kids is called Olaf, in the Scandinavian epos – the king of the Vikings. Mom is called a form, the name has various versions of origin and meaning. Translated from Spanish and French – white, in translation from Italian – bright, and in the Portuguese interpretation – fertile and good.
This is the second litter. Last year, the couple had a wolf cub, who was named Veles with the help of voting, in honor of one of the gods in Slavic mythology. In the spring he moved to the Kaliningrad Zoo.
