The top of the most wanted jobs in Romania and how you can apply correctly on the ANOFM platform

About 31,000 – 33,000 job vacancies are available on the website of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), and their distribution provides a relevant picture of the sectors with the greatest staff shortage.

According to the information analyzed by “Adevărul”, the most dynamic field is currently transport and logistics, where the demand exceeds 6,000 jobs. Employers are particularly looking for road transport drivers, for whom over 2,100 positions are available, but also couriers (approx. 2,000 positions) and cargo handlers, where the offer exceeds 1,200 jobs. Salaries in this sector vary significantly: for warehouse and handling workers they start at 3,500 lei, while for professional drivers, especially in international transport, they can exceed 8,000–10,000 lei per month, depending on experience and type of trips.
Another key sector is construction, where around 3,000 – 4,000 jobs are available. Demand is high both for unskilled workers – more than 2,000 positions – and for tradesmen such as bricklayers, carpenters or concrete ironworkers. Salaries start at around 3,500 lei and can reach 7,000–8,000 lei or even more for skilled workers, especially on large construction sites or in infrastructure projects.
In trade and services, employers continue to recruit intensively, with approximately 3,000 – 4,000 jobs available. Among the most sought-after positions are commercial workers, for which there are approximately 1,500-1,600 positions, but also security guards, where there are over 1,300 vacancies. Salaries in this field are generally between 3,000 and 4,500 lei, depending on the program and responsibilities.
The manufacturing and industrial sector remains stable with approximately 2,000 – 3,000 jobs available. In particular, production line operators, assembly workers – where there are approximately 800 – 1,000 positions – but also technicians or skilled workers are wanted. Salaries vary between 3,000 and 6,000 lei, depending on the level of qualification and the complexity of the activity.
In HoReCa, the demand is constant, especially in the season, with around 1,500 – 2,000 jobs. About 900 – 1,000 positions are available for cooks, but also positions for cooks, waiters or hotel staff. Earnings start at 2,800 lei and can reach 5,000 lei or more depending on experience and tip bonuses.
An important aspect is that a large part of the jobs are intended for people without higher education. More than 17,000 jobs are for people without qualifications or with secondary education, which shows that the labor market in Romania is still strongly oriented towards operative activities and practical trades.

What you need to know before applying on the ANOFM platform
The ANOFM platform works differently from private recruitment sites. Here, advertisements are published directly by employers and the application process is not standardized. In many cases, there is no quick apply button and contact is made directly by phone or email.
Therefore, it is essential to read each advertisement carefully and check the exact requirements of the employer. Some jobs require experience or qualifications, others are also open to beginners, but these details are not always clearly highlighted.
Another important aspect is to prepare an up-to-date CV. Even if not explicitly asked, most employers will ask for information about your work experience from the first stage. In addition, it is useful to have documents attesting your qualifications or experience to hand, especially for technical jobs.
How to apply correctly for a job
To have a real chance of getting hired, how you apply is as important as the job you choose. The first step is to select only those positions that match your profile. Random applications unrelated to experience or skills are rarely considered.
Then you must follow the instructions in the ad exactly. If the employer has provided a phone number, it is recommended that you call during business hours and introduce yourself clearly and concisely. If an email address is mentioned, send a short message explaining who you are, what experience you have and why you are interested in the job, attaching your CV.
Another essential aspect is promptness. In many of the high-demand fields, hiring is done quickly, sometimes on the same day or within days. That's why quick reaction can make the difference.
Finally, it is important to be prepared for an immediate discussion. Employers in fields such as construction, transport or services make quick decisions and appreciate available and serious candidates.
The data clearly show that the labor market in Romania is dominated by fields in which the demand for personnel is constantly high, and the job offer exceeds tens of thousands of active positions. Transportation, construction, trade, and manufacturing account for most of these jobs, and wages vary by experience and skill.
For those looking for a job, the ANOFM platform can be an effective tool, but success largely depends on how they apply: quickly, correctly and adapted to the requirements of each employer.
