Aleksey Sergeevich Zabortsev, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and an honorary resident of Krasnoyarsk, has passed away.
Let us remind you that he turned 100 years old in March.

“He was for all of us a living symbol of perseverance, heroism and love for the Motherland. A man whose life is an era. The veteran has come a long way in life, full of trials and victories. Born and lived on the Angara. In 1943 he left Krasnoyarsk for the front as an artillery gunner. In 1945 he was already a gun commander. Met the enemy in Belarus. He fought through the Baltic states, East Prussia, Poland, Austria, and Germany. Awarded medals: “For the capture of Berlin”, “For the victory over Germany”, “For the capture of Koenigsberg”, anniversary medals. Happy memory to the Hero! We remember, we are proud!
