Two PSD ministers, accused by an oengist of having bypassed the queue, at the airport in Timișoara. Radu Oprea: “False, lie, untruth!”

It is about the Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, and the Secretary General of the Government, Radu Oprea, who were in Timișoara on Saturday.

According to Csizmarik Francisc, the two officials would have avoided the standard access route to the security control, requesting the intervention of a shift chief to allow them to pass directly.

“Today I was in Timișoara Airport and after years I understood what the phrase Heavy PSD means. You know that when you board in Timișoara, as a normal person, you have to go through a winding route that takes you to the gate where the police check takes place. Well, a group of three people among whom I recognized Radu Oprea and Bogdan Ivan chose to call the police shift chief to remove the cordons aisle for their lordships to take it straight. When you're HARD, it's hard to walk the same route as any normal person.” he wrote on Facebook.

Reaction of the Minister of Energy: “Gross fake news”

Minister Bogdan Ivan categorically rejected the accusations, which he classified as true “gross fake news”.

“I have not approached any border police official or anyone else to ask for different treatment. It is embarrassing how low the discussion can go in the heated political context of these days. (…) I choose to ignore these petty attacks and deal with what really matters: energy production, storage capacities and billions of euros of investment in the national energy system.” he conveyed, adding that he and Radu Oprea traveled in economy class after a visit to the Mintia thermal power plant, in Hunedoara county.

Ivan also stated that he will ignore these accusations and focus on projects in the energy field.

And Radu Oprea denies it

For his part, Radu Oprea rejected the information appearing in the public space, claiming that it is a disinformation campaign.

“I am outraged because a liar is trying to take away my right to behave like a normal person. I read that I would have asked at Timişoara Airport to go through another place, not through the normal security control. False, lie, untruth! I went through the security control as perfectly normal as any other person. In fact, as I do every time I travel by plane.” Radu Oprea sent on Facebook.

The reaction of the authorities

Both the Romanian Police and the Border Police said that the information is false and does not reflect reality.

According to the institutions, their representatives have not been contacted and have no duties in organizing access routes from the airport.
