The song “Mamacita”, sung by the Velea Brothers, two children aged 9 and 11, cause for concern for Gabriela Firea. “I don't think parents are the only ones to blame”

MEP Gabriel Firea denounced this Sunday the “dangers” to which children in Romania are exposed, pointing to the song recently released by the children of artists Alex Velea and Antonia. In a press conference held at a PSD Sectorul 4 event, Firea also spoke about the anti-caesarean section campaign in Bucharest.

“Beyond the concern of every Romanian regarding all the consequences we suffer and all the concerns related to the state of war, there is also another time of concern, which is in every family and is beyond prices, costs, drones. I mean what is happening to our children”, Gabriela Firea began her speech.

She said she was speaking with “a lot of bitterness and not pointing fingers at anyone”.

“How is it possible that in our society like 8-9-10-year-old children end up talking and then listening to what is being said on melodic rhythms about how a boy should turn a girl into his?”, said Firea, without naming the “Velea Brothers” song.

The social democrat specified that the little ones must be integrated into the rhythm in which the parents live, but “it has gone too far”.

The song that caused controversy, went “private” on Youtube

The sons of singers Alex Velea and Antonia, Dominic and Akim, aged 9 and 11, recently released the song “Mamacita”, and the lyrics of the song have attracted attention. Critics said they weren't age appropriate: “I'm not giving up until I make it my own”

Meanwhile, the song on YouTube has been turned private.

“I don't think it's just the parents who let them sing those lines are to blame. I think we all have some of the blame,” Firea said.

HotNews tried to contact Alex Velea by phone and sent him a request for a point of view, but he did not respond.

Not even Antonia had, at least in the public space, a reaction or an explanation related to the controversies regarding the lyrics sung by the two boys.

The critical nature and the anti-Caesarian campaign in Bucharest

In addition to the song sung by the Velea Brothers, Firea also criticized the false “anti-Caesarian” messages that appeared in Bucharest and which are removed, after the intervention of the capital's mayor, Ciprian Ciucu.

“How is it possible that in 2026, in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, one of the most important European capitals, we tolerate a street display in which it is said, without documentation, without having a scientific validation, about the fact that if a woman uses a caesarean section to give birth, she automatically endangers her child and her life and family, that first of all that woman must be stigmatized?”, said the MEP at the conference where the social democrats have chosen their new head of the Sector 4 branch.

“I didn't think that we would arrive in Bucharest to read on the signs “Caesarean section!” that it destroys the baby and the mother. And throw stones at the mother”, said Firea.

Investigative website Snoop discovered that the Corporate Transparency Foundation, which promotes various conspiracy theories through advertising campaigns, commissioned dozens of anti-C-section billboards in Bucharest.

On the organization's website, in a post dated November 17, 2025, titled “CAESAREAN – Hybrid War – The White Race Becomes the Hybrid Race,” the foundation's representatives conspired against C-sections.

They all start from the idea that the “destruction of the white race by stopping the birth rate” is desired, with the “Tibetan banking trust” behind the theory.
