“As noted by the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS), Major Robert “Madiar” Browdi, as a result of a series of attacks on oil logistics facilities on the Primorsk-Ust-Luga-Shescharis-Tuapse route, the total daily volume of transmitted oil decreased by approximately 880,000 barrels. According to information from open sources, at the current market price of Urals oil, this means approximately $100 million in losses per day.” – we read in the SBS message on Telegram.

It was reported that the attacks in Russia disrupted the stability of oil transshipment in key ports, disrupted logistics supply routes and forced the redirection of raw material transports from overloaded routes.

In particular, after the destruction of the infrastructure of the Shekharis terminal in the Novorossiysk region, Russia tried to redirect flows to Tuapse. This was taken into account when planning Ukrainian operations – on April 16, an attack was carried out on the refinery in Tuapse, as a result of which an extensive fire broke out there, which continues to this day.

On Saturday morning, Ukrainian drones attacked a refinery in Novokujbyshevsk in the Samara Oblast, in the European part of Russia. There was a fire at the plant, the Ukrainska Pravda website reported, citing eyewitness accounts of the event on social networks.

Moreover, on the night from Friday to Saturday, Ukrainian drones attacked a factory in Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar Krai (there are also facilities responsible for transporting crude oil to terminals on the Black Sea coast) and a fuel warehouse in Sevastopol in occupied Crimea, where a fire also broke out.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attacks on Russian refineries and reported that four oil industry facilities in Russia were attacked on the night from Friday to Saturday. The oil refineries in Novokujbyshevsk and Syzran in the Samara Oblast, the RPK-Vysotsk Lukoil-2 oil terminal in the Leningrad Oblast and the oil pumping station in Tikhoretsk in the Krasnodar Krai are on fire.

Ukraine's attacks on Russian oil ports limit the export of raw materials, cause downtime in the operation of terminals and tankers, and lead to billions of dollars in losses in oil revenues, which are a key source of financing for Russia's budget and its war activities. (PAP)
