
Authorities in Lithuania and Latvia will close the skies to the plane of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico when he flies to Moscow on May 9. The politician announced this on Facebook.

“Lithuania and Latvia have already informed us that they will not allow us to fly over their territory on the way to Moscow. Well, EU member states will not allow the prime minister of another EU member state to fly over their territory,” he said in a video message.
In 2025, the Baltic countries and Poland banned him and Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić, who attended the parade, from flying.
