Clear verdict after Craiova – Rapid 1-0: “She will emerge champion and impose herself in a categorical manner”

The former technician of the current team from Craiova analyzed the game of Filipe Coelho's team, emphasizing the importance of the victory after the failure in Cluj and the way Craiova managed the game.

The last time he coached at Politehnica Iași, Săndoi highlighted the character shown by the team and the fact that, despite Rapid's dominance, success is deserved.

“It was not an easy game. The team was coming after a negative result in Cluj, but they managed to overcome it. The victory is deserved, even if Rapid had a dominance, in the second half I think it was a sterile one. It's true, there were very few shots on goal in the second half, but the 3 points are important for morale.

I even said after the defeat in Cluj that Craiova will also emerge as champion and I believe that it will prevail in a categorical manner. But, otherwise, a well-deserved victory, very important points for Craiova and in the context of the result from Dinamo – Cluj University.”

Emil Săndoi: “Craiova has the most spectators”

The former central defender also spoke about the atmosphere at the “Ion Oblemenco” stadium and the support of the fans, which he considers a major advantage in the title fight.

“I think that Craiova has the most spectators in this championship, I don't even know who could be next, Dinamo or Rapid, I don't know. But the atmosphere at “Ion Oblemenco” is special, pressure is put on the opponents, and Craiova lost few points at home.

It is an emulation in this championship. If until now Craiova entered the fight for the title, but half-heartedly, this season I think everyone was set on winning the title and I think that will happen.”
