Zygmunt Solorz, senior of one of the richest families in Poland, whose fortune was estimated by Forbes at approximately PLN 8.7 billion, talked to the President of the United States about strategic investments. According to “Puls Biznesu”, the meeting concerned, among others, energy, artificial intelligence and space exploration. The businessman also met with the head of OpenAI and the founder of X-energy.
The meeting took place on Friday, April 10. Zygmunt Solorz, together with his wife Justyna Kulka and one of his colleagues, took part in a meeting with US President Donald Trump. The talks took place at Trump Winery, the president's private estate in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Polish businessman was to focus the talks on the enormous potential of Polish-American cooperation in several sectors and announced new investments in the United States.

I am proud that I can help conclude new agreements that will strengthen ties between the US and Poland for the next generations, said Zygmunt Solorz, quoted in the announcement quoted by “PB”.
On the sidelines of the meeting, private topics were also discussed, including the passion for boxing, which Zygmunt Solorz popularized in Poland through Polsat channels.
The meeting of Zygmunt Solorz and Donald Trump is independent of political events
Zygmunt Solorz's meeting with President Donald Trump had been planned for a long time and was originally supposed to take place at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. According to the billionaire's press service, the talks were not related to the event organized by MAGA Inc., and Solorz himself did not attend the dinner organized by this organization. After the meeting, the businessman went directly to Washington.
In the background of the meeting there is a dispute over the succession in the Solorz family empire. In December 2025, a court in Liechtenstein confirmed the validity of the billionaire's succession decisions, but Solorz announced further legal fight. At the same time, his son, Piotr Żak, was recently appointed to the Business Council at the Chancellery of the President of the Republic of Poland.
Marta Popowiedz, Google's director responsible for transatlantic relations, also joined the supervisory board of Cyfrowy Polsat, which, according to sources close to the group, is intended to strengthen the company's political connections.
Zygmunt Solorz counts on cooperation with X-energy, Axiom Space and OpenAI
“PB” indicates that in December Zygmunt Solorz met in Washington with Kam Ghaffarian, founder of Axiom Space and X-energy. The talks concerned the implementation of advanced nuclear technologies and fourth-generation reactors.
Last spring, the Polish billionaire invested in Axiom Space, a space technology company, and at the end of August Kam Ghaffarian visited Poland at Solorz's invitation.
During his recent visit to the US, Solorz also met with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman. The topic of the talks was the expansion of AI infrastructure in Poland, including the development of data centers and securing energy sources necessary to support new technologies.
