The police and the city authorities of Dormagen have offered a reward of PLN 10,000. euro [ok. 42 tys. zł] for information regarding Yosef's murderer.

A funeral ceremony for the murdered 14-year-old is scheduled for Friday afternoon. It will take place on the pitch in Dormagen. About 3,000 people are expected to attend the funeral. Then, a ceremony is planned for a small group – only the family and relatives of the deceased.

The mayor of Dormagen, Erik Lierenfeld (40, SPD party), announced his presence at Yosef's funeral ceremony on Friday. He said he could not reveal anything about the current state of the investigation because it was a “police matter.” To his knowledge, no irregularities related to the suspect have been reported so far. Lierenfeld said the whole situation “chills his blood.”
