Poles love mass events. Record attendance

In 2025, seven thousand mass events were organized in Poland, gathering 30.7 million participants. Compared to 2024, the number of events increased by 1.9 percent and participants by 8.7 percent, the Central Statistical Office announced in a press release.

In 2025, city and commune offices issued permits to organize seven thousand mass events, 1.9 percent more than in 2024. The largest number of them took place in the Silesian Voivodeship (914), and the least in the Lubuskie Voivodeship (133). On average, 4.4 thousand people participated in one mass event. people. The highest average annual number of participants was recorded in the Masovian Voivodeship (5.8 thousand), and the lowest in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship (2.1 thousand).

The majority of mass events were sports events (51.5 percent), most of which were organized in the Silesian Voivodeship (592), and the least in the Lubuskie Voivodeship (37). In 2025, 3.4 thousand were organized. artistic and entertainment events (8.3 percent more than a year earlier). Most of them were concerts (66.8 percent). The largest number of artistic and entertainment events took place in the Masovian Voivodeship (489), and the least in the Opole Voivodeship (79).

Compared to 2024, the number of participants in mass events increased by 2.5 million people (by 8.7 percent), the number of participants in mass artistic and entertainment events increased by 0.9 million people (by 7.8 percent), and the number of participants in mass sports events increased by 1.5 million people (by 9.4 percent). Most participants of mass events took part in paid events (85 percent). In the case of sports events, this percentage was 98.3 percent, while in the case of artistic and entertainment events – 66.9 percent.

In 2025, most mass events (4.2 thousand) were organized in closed facilities (4.5 percent less than a year earlier). 2.8 thousand events took place in the open area. events (13.3 percent more than in 2024).
