“I didn’t have a youth as such, because at 16 I was already pregnant, and at 17 I gave birth to a daughter. I chose to be a mother and my first husband didn’t want me to sing. He wanted a wife who sits at home with the child,” said the artist.
She noted that her first husband was seven years older than her – she met him in the center of Kyiv thanks to her classmate, who was secretly in love with her.
“Can I assume that it was a fairly abusive relationship?” – Dorotyuk clarified.
“You can say yes. I was very young and didn’t put him in his place in time, didn’t show my character. I felt guilty, embarrassed that I was such a young mother. I wanted everything to be without scandals,” the artist admitted.
Matvienko added that she divorced her husband 10 years later because she stopped loving him. Now they don't communicate.
After her parents separated, her daughter Ulyana remained to live with her father, and the singer herself completely lost her hair from her experiences. According to Tony Matvienko, relations with Ulyana improved when she met her second husband, Ukrainian artist Arsen Mirzoyan, and became pregnant.
The singer does not disclose the last name and first name of her husband, but her daughter’s name is Ulyana Matveevna Snitko. The ex-husband of the 45-year-old artist is now 52 years old.
