In Zelenogorsk, at the request of the prosecutor's office, the court restored the right of the children of a deceased SVO participant to receive payment. This was reported by the press service of the supervisory agency.
A resident of the ZATO contacted the prosecutor's office, whose husband died last summer in the Northern Military District zone while performing a combat mission. The woman said that after the death of her father, her two daughters were left not only without a parent, but also without government support, to which they were entitled by law.
The prosecutor's investigation confirmed that the girls were members of the family of the deceased serviceman and should have received an equal share of the amount of 5 million rubles. However, the order issued by the commander of the military unit distributed the entire amount only among adult relatives: the mother of the deceased, his grandparents.

“The women, realizing the violation, voluntarily returned the excess funds received and transferred them to the girls’ accounts. However, their grandfather refused to return his share. In this situation, the prosecutor’s office went to court in the interests of minors,” the press service of the prosecutor’s office reported.
The court supported the prosecutor's position and ordered the department to transfer the missing amount from the budget directly to the children of the deceased serviceman. After the court decision was executed, the due payments were credited to the girls’ accounts in full.
