The images, later published on social networks, capture a heated discussion between the two, which degenerated after Dan Tanasă refused to have a conversation, stating that “does not sit at the table with the borfassi”. At that point, the other man tried to hit him.
The video was published and commented on by Iulian Drăghici (USR), who criticized the incident and accused aggressive behavior within the formation.
“Dan Tanasă presents us with a new sample of genuine AUR-type “sovereignism”, jumping on the necks of those who fight side by side with him for the party but do not obey his orders. The real danger for Romania is an AUR government alongside the PSD in which the goon and the thief decide the direction of the country”. he wrote in the post.
Cristina Vaida, member of the National Management Council of the AUR, also appears in the images, who tries to calm the situation and states that “the situation has escalated.”
The man involved in the incident criticizes Dan Tanasă for the tone used: “Well, you're making a fool of me? I gave my life for this party,” he states during the altercation.
According to the information provided by Digi24, AUR representatives claim that the incident did not take place in the party headquarters and that it is not a recent one. The formation states that it was an attempted aggression, not an actual fight, and the person involved was later expelled from the party.
AUR also states that the episode would have happened a few months ago, in a branch in Harghita, and not during a recent meeting.
