The American giant Paramount has officially announced that the series “The Madison” will have a third season, after the first season was a real success, writes ScreenRant. In Romania, the first season of “The Madison” is broadcast on the streaming platform SkyShowtime.
The news comes after the premiere of the series, which debuted on March 14, with 8 million views globally in the first 10 days on the Paramount+ platform.
With record numbers, it became the most watched film debut of Taylor Sheridan of all time. Production for season 2 of “The Madison” has already been completed.
“The Madison” is set against the backdrop of the vast landscapes of Montana's Madison River Valley and the vibrant energy of Manhattan. The series explores grief, family bonds and human connections through the story of the Clyburns, a New York City family navigating loss, survival and transformation in the American West.
Taylor Sheridan is a highly acclaimed writer, director, producer, and actor known for creating the “Yellowstone” franchise and revitalizing the entire western genre. After appearing in series like “Veronica Mars” and “Sons of Anarchy,” he began writing screenplays, including his first major screenplay for 2015's “Sicario,” which earned him a Writers Guild of America Award nomination. Now his western serials have become extremely popular and are breaking record after record.
The series “The Madison” boasts an exceptional cast, which includes Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Pfeiffer, Golden Globe nominee Kurt Russell, and other actors such as Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Matthew Fox and Will Arnett.
Matthew Fox, who played Paul Clyburn, does not appear in season 2 of the series. “I'm at a point in my life where I'd rather pop out every now and then and do something interesting, but I don't want to dedicate six years of my life to one project. Taylor is an exceptional screenwriter. When I read the scripts, they hit me right where it hurts, but they also made me laugh,” said the actor.
“The Madison” has a 62% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with critics saying that Sheridan's latest Western is “the most relatable of his growing list of Paramount+ series” and that the production “will deeply move and shake you.”
So far, no release date has been announced for seasons 2 and 3 of “The Madison.”
