Norway will produce Ukrainian drones on its territory. Defense cooperation agreement with Kiev

Norway and Ukraine will strengthen their bilateral defense cooperation, including the production of Ukrainian drones on the territory of the northern state, the Norwegian government announced on Tuesday, Reuters reports.
According to the agreement, Norway will support the production of drones in Ukraine, and Kiev will provide Norway with data, information and expertise, according to a statement from the authorities in Oslo. Ukrainian drones will also be manufactured on the territory of Norway.
“We can learn from the experiences Ukraine is going through in this difficult, hard-won battle against Russian aggression,” Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said in a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
“It is essential to learn from these experiences,” he stressed.
Norway, along with the other Nordic and Baltic countries, has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine.
Støre's government has set a long-term funding plan for Kyiv, supported by all parties in parliament, of around $28 billion for 2023–2030, making Norway one of Ukraine's most generous supporters per population.
Earlier on Tuesday, Volodymyr Zelenskiy was in Berlin, where he met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz.
The two leaders agreed on defense cooperation plans, including an agreement on the production of drones, which Zelenski said could become one of the largest of its kind in Europe.
