Inspectors from the Krasnoyarsk traffic police regiment had to use physical force and handcuffs to detain a drunk motorist without a license.

The incident occurred last Saturday night in the Sovetsky district of the city, the police provided details today. The patrol reportedly spotted a Nissan driving at a high rate of speed. The driver ignored the request to stop and tried to escape. During the pursuit, the motorist committed a number of serious violations, including running a red light and speeding.
“To stop the offender, traffic police inspectors had to use physical force and special means. After the arrest, it turned out that the 32-year-old man did not have the right to drive a vehicle and was intoxicated – an examination showed the alcohol content in the exhaled air was 0.472 mg/l,” said the Krasnoyarskoye Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The driver explained his attempt to escape as fright and said that his wife and three children were waiting for him at home. For disobeying the police and committing traffic violations, a number of administrative materials were drawn up against him.
