More than a hundred drunk drivers caught over the weekend in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (video)

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Krasnoyarsk Territory said that over the weekend traffic police inspectors caught 114 drunk drivers on the roads of the region.
Including 25 motorists who did not have a driver’s license and got behind the wheel while drunk were suspended from driving. Traffic police officers compiled administrative materials against the offenders for driving while intoxicated.
Among the motorists who came to the attention of the police, 7 violators had previously been brought to administrative responsibility for drunk driving. Now they face criminal prosecution under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Krasnoyarsk Territory reminds: driving a vehicle while intoxicated is strictly prohibited and entails serious legal consequences. For this violation, a fine of 45 thousand rubles and deprivation of the right to drive for a period of one and a half to two years are provided. Repeated violation entails criminal liability.
