Eskerkhanov signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense in March 2024, was pardoned, after which he was released from the colony. He went to one of the assault units and is now performing combat missions in the Northern Military District zone. The contract with a former convict is valid for one year.

According to the verdict, Eskerkhanov's role was to spy on the politician. Eskerkhanov was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
