Marc Guehi scored against Chelsea in Manchester City's 3-0 win but was denied the match's MVP award. The stopper of the “citizens” handed the award to his colleague Rayan Cherki, who registered two decisive assists, one of them right on Guehi's goal.

A day after Arsenal's “misstep” at home to Bournemouth at the Emirates, Manchester City produced an impressive second-half performance to close the gap on the Premier League leaders to six points.

O'Reilly opened the scoring with a header shortly after the start of the second half, before Guehi and Doku made it 3-0 in the final in a vital win for Pep Guardiola's side, who face Arsenal next week.

January signing Guehi scored his second goal for the club and was named the MVP of the match also following a solid defensive performance, according to sportal.gr. However, he did not accept the award. Instead, he handed it off to his teammate Cherki, who provided the assists for both his goal and O'Reilly's. In the last goal, that of Doku, the decisive pass came from the opponent himself, after Caicedo made a mistake in his own half.

We did well, especially in the second half. We want to improve, to become better. We keep our feet on the ground, go to recovery and focus on the next game. It doesn't matter if Arsenal people watched the game or not.. The most important thing is that we did our job properly today and now we focus on the next game. Everyone has done their job, and now it's time for a new game
