Parliamentarians Pace – First Romania announce motion of censure against the Bolojan government. AUR: “They didn't consult with us”

The Pace – First Romania parliamentary group will submit a censure motion in Parliament against the Bolojan Government next week, the group's representatives told HotNews. The parliamentarians from this group do not have the sufficient number of signatures without a possible support from the AUR, but this party specified that it will submit a separate motion in May.
“Next week, Tuesday, we collect the signatures. As always, from AUR and non-affiliates, possibly POT and SOS,” said one of the Pace senators, Clement Sava.
116 signatures are needed to submit a motion of censure. Pace has only 12 parliamentarians, AUR 90, and the number of non-affiliated parliamentarians is 22. 15 SOS Romania deputies and another 14 from POT could be added to them.
The announcement of Pace's censure filing comes just days before the PSD decides whether to remain in government and, if so, in what form. The PSD consultation will take place on April 20.
AUR will file a separate censure motion
AUR representatives told HotNews that the party will submit the no-confidence motion in a month, according to the original plan.
“They did not consult with us. We will file in a month,” said Petrișor Peiu.
The leader of POT, Răzvan Chiriță, who wants to change the name of his group from POT to “United for Romania”, said when contacted by HotNews that “up to this moment we have not had any discussion with the representatives of the PACE group on this subject”.
“We will analyze the initiative within the “United for Romania” parliamentary group, both from the perspective of political opportunity and the content of the motion. A decision will be taken after this analysis,” Chiriță explained to HotNews.
On April 4, the leader of the AUR senators, Petrişor Peiu, stated that the party is determined to submit a motion of censure against the Bolojan Government in every parliamentary session, and in the current session, this step will most likely be made in May, after the official data on the state of the economy will be announced.
“Now, as a matter of principle, during Holy Week I don't really think it's normal to make no-confidence motions. I, personally, announced and talked to my colleagues that it would be very interesting to have this no-confidence motion debate somewhere on May 13 or after, on the day when we will officially have the third quarter of economic decline, that is, already a full-blown crisis. Because then the National Institute of Statistics will officially announce the results for the first quarter”, said Petrișor Fur
