Many gardeners adore the elegant tropical flower – the orchid. However, this beauty is quite capricious: it needs constant care, a certain level of humidity and temperature conditions.
Also, phalaenopsis will not bloom without the right fertilizers. An ordinary banana peel will be a good alternative to store-bought mixtures, says experienced florist Lyubov Onischuk on the 7dach (18+) portal.
Three homemade food recipes
Important! Before any feeding, the roots of phalaenopsis should be soaked in warm, settled water for 15 minutes. This will protect the fragile root system.
Banana tincture
Pour the skins of 3 fruits with 3 liters of water and leave for two days. Strain the finished infusion and dilute with clean water in a 1:1 ratio. Water the orchids with the resulting solution.
Banana tea
Dry the peel on a radiator, in the oven or under the sun, then grind it into powder. Pour one teaspoon of powder into a glass of boiling water (200 ml). When the infusion has cooled, pour the orchids at the root.
Banana powder
Cut the peel into slices, place on a baking sheet with the inside down and bake in the oven. Cool the fried peel, chop it and add it to the pot in dry form (1 tsp per adult plant).
