Mayor Sergei Vereshchagin signed a decree “On the celebration of Krasnoyarsk City Day in 2026.” The document was published on the city administration website.
Ceremonial events dedicated to the 398th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk will be held from June 11 to 14. The signed order states that the holiday program must be prepared before May 19. By May 22, the administration and the traffic police will agree on the closure scheme that will operate in the city during this period.
So far, only two events are known that will definitely be included in the City Day celebration program – a solemn flag-raising ceremony on the square in front of the mayor's office, as well as the presentation of signs “For Services to Krasnoyarsk” and the awarding of the title “Honorary Citizen of the City.”
On the eve of the holiday, specialists will produce posters, banners and other printed products with an approved corporate style, organize work with trade enterprises to decorate shop windows and sales floors, create thematic audio and video clips, and also organize stage areas and fairs.
In addition, on the occasion of City Day, festive illumination will be turned on on the bridges and streets of Krasnoyarsk.
