NBP reports that the increase in total transactions was influenced by higher reinvested profits and a lower outflow of capital from debt instruments than in the previous year.

According to the NBP, the largest contribution to the total value of transactions came from reinvestments of profits of direct investment entities, which amounted to PLN 66.1 billion, i.e. PLN 9.7 billion more than a year ago.

The inflow of investments in the form of equity shares amounted to PLN 10.0 billion, i.e. PLN 14.4 billion less than in 2024.

In the field of debt instruments, a continuation of the debt reduction trend of Polish direct investment entities initiated in 2023 was observed (balance -PLN 14.9 billion).

NBP data shows that the largest direct investments came from the Netherlands, Germany and Spain. In the case of these countries, this was associated with high reinvested profits.

The largest outflow of capital was recorded to Luxembourg, Croatia and Lithuania, which resulted, on the one hand, from the withdrawal of capital by direct investors from these countries and, on the other hand, from the repayment of foreign debt. (PAP Business)
