The former student of Mircea Lucescu came to the funeral service of “Il Luce”

Tomas Hubschman (44 years old), Mircea Lucescu's former player at Shakhtior Donetsk, appeared at the funeral of “Il Luce”.
“Il Luce” died on Tuesday, April 7, at the University Hospital in Bucharest, where he had been rushed after he fainted on March 29 at the training session of the Romanian national team, before the “friendly” with Slovakia.
On April 8 and 9, the National Arena hosted thousands of people who came to say goodbye to Mircea Lucescu, and on April 10 the former great coach and footballer was buried with military honors at the Bellu Cemetery in Bucharest.

Defensive midfielder by trade, Tomas Hubschman was bought by Shakhtar in 2004 for the sum of 3 million euros and performed under the command of “Il Luce” until 2024, when he returned to the Czech Republic, to Jablonec.
In addition to Hubschman, Rinat Ahmetov, Shakhtior's patron, and Darjo Srna, the team's former captain, were also present at the ceremony.

Mircea Lucescu took his first steps in football at Dinamo Bucharest, the team with which he has spent most of his career. He also performed at Știința Bucharest and Corvinul Hunedoara.

He won 36 trophies in his career as a technician: 9 times the championship of Ukraine, 8 times the Ukrainian Cup, 7 times the Ukrainian Supercup, 3 times the Romanian Cup, 2 times the Romanian championship, 2 times the Turkish championship, as well as the UEFA Cup, the European Super Cup, the Russian Super Cup and the Anglo-Italian Cup.
