Andrew Robertson (32 years old) announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current season. The left defender will thus leave the “cormorants” after 9 seasons in which he won as many trophies.

The Scotsman will end his contract with Liverpool at the end of this season and leave Anfield for free. In the current season, Robertson has been more of a reserve, his place in the “first 11” being taken by Milos Kerkez, transferred last summer from Bournemouth for the sum of 40 million pounds.

The announcement of Robertson's departure comes around two weeks after news broke of Mohamed Salah, who has agreed a deal with the club's management to leave Liverpool on a free at the end of this season, despite the deal expiring in the summer of 2027.

Andrew Robertson is leaving Liverpool at the end of this season

Andrew Robertson was transferred by Liverpool from Hull City in the summer of 2017 for the sum of 9 million euros. The left-back made 373 appearances for the Cormorants in all competitions, scoring 13 goals and providing 39 assists.

In his 9 seasons at Anfield, Andrew Robertson won two Premier League titles (2020, 2025), a Champions League (2019), a UEFA Super Cup, a Club World Championship, an FA Cup, two League Cups and an FA Super Cup.

Andrew Robertson: “It's not easy to leave a club like Liverpool”

It's never easy to leave a club like Liverpool. It has been a huge part of my life and my family's life for the past nine years. But for me, players come and go, people come and go – the only thing that stays the same is the club and of course the supporters.

I've had nine incredible years here. Looking back, I think everything was very well documented, especially in the last year; I had opportunities to leave and I didn't accept them precisely because it is so difficult to leave this club. And I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world. But I know that football moves on, I know that teams move on, and I think now is the time for me to move on, wherever my next step will be and wherever my career will take me.

I will always look back on the wonderful memories from this club. I put my soul and all my energy into this club for nine years and I don't have many regrets. I grew as a man and as a man. This club will always mean a lot to me and the fans will always mean a lot to me. It was an incredible journey.
