In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the leadership of a youth center was caught stealing money through fictitious employment

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the director of the Balakhtinsky youth center and her deputy are suspected of fraud with fictitious employment of an employee.

According to investigators, between December 2023 and January 2024, the women conspired to recruit an acquaintance for a vacant position as a youth worker, but only on paper.

“The deputy director of the Balakhtinsky Youth Center took upon herself the search for a suitable candidate who agreed to fictitious employment. And the director, who is also a respected representative of the district Council of Deputies, using her powers, completed all the paperwork: she signed the order for employment, time sheets and the order for bonuses. She put stamps and made sure that the scheme looked legal,” the prosecutor’s office said.

In fact, the man did not work in the institution, but transferred the accrued salary to the bank account of the deputy director. “I didn’t know my job responsibilities,” he later told investigators.

The accomplices divided the money equally and used it at their own discretion. As a result of the illegal actions of the defendants, over two months the budget of the Balakhtinsky district was damaged in the amount of more than 50 thousand rubles, the Investigative Committee reported.

A criminal case was opened against the suspects under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, using their official position). Currently, all the circumstances of the crime are being established.
