A criminal investigation has been completed against the former director of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Choir on charges of fraud, perfect with using your official positionas well as in large size.
According to investigators, in the period from July 2022 to April 2024, the head of the institution, acting out of self-interest, misled her subordinates, convincing them that part of the salary and incentive payments paid to them should be transferred to her, allegedly for use for the economic and administrative needs of the choir.
“Two employees were paid for an amount of work that they did not actually perform. After receiving the payments, they returned the agreed amount to the manager. Three other employees were systematically awarded incentive payments and bonuses. Subordinates transferred part of the bonuses to the manager, believing that the money was going towards the development of the institution. The defendant used the funds received at her own discretion. As a result of her illegal actions, the budget of the municipal institution suffered damage totaling about 600 thousand rubles,” the Investigative Committee said.
Currently, the investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base, and therefore a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation was sent to the prosecutor's office for approval of the indictment and subsequent transfer to the court for consideration on the merits.
