CTP says what “reckoning” Nicușor Dan makes in the case of appointments to the head of the big Prosecutor's Offices. The journalist's verdict
Cristian Tudor Popescu criticized President Nicușor Dan for the appointments made to the General Prosecutor's Office, DNA and DIICOT, claiming that he is counting on the fact that “he still has enough supporters capable of following him to the black cloth”.
In an intervention on Thursday on B1 TV, the journalist said that the president's speech the previous evening, in which Nicușor Dan announced that he had accepted seven of the eight prosecutors proposed by the PSD Minister of Justice for the management of the major prosecutor's offices, “was a maximum in what he did in terms of stupidity in front”.
“Our president calculates that he still has enough supporters capable of following him to the black cloths. He also has such supporters, there are people who will not react to anything critical of what Mr. Nicușor Dan does, they simply suspend their reason, they do not want to listen to any kind of arguments, any kind of evidence, they support Mr. Nicușor Dan no matter what he does. Mr. Nicușor Dan relies on such people, on people with suspended reason,” he said CTP.
Nicușor Dan, “voted primarily on moral criteria”
Cristian Tudor Popescu believes that Nicușor Dan is “progressively losing” supporters “who never stop reasoning”.
“It completely ignores the fact that he was voted on moral criteria, primarily on moral criteria, because he had not yet proven any qualities for the position of president, into which he threw himself one night, in an autumn, that until then he said that there was no question, he wanted to finish his projects with the people of Bucharest”, added CTP.
He said that Nicușor Dan was not voted “for a proven competence in relation to this position, for example, with foreign policy”, but because people “considered him an honest man, an honest man, even if he is not spectacular, even if he does not have a flamboyant speech”.
