The march began around noon at the Warsaw roundabout of Roman Dmowski, from where the participants passed through the streets of Warsaw to the office of the Prime Minister (KPRM).

Participants carried Polish flags and banners, e.g. “Wake up Poland”; “Always be Polish, not a traitor and leftist”; “We do not want economic immigrants from Germany and the European Union.” In addition, some participants came to the presidential candidates for the march, including Karol Nawrocki and Grzegorz Braun supported by PiS. They were accompanied by the sound of vuvuzel and loud shouts, including: “Poland is here”; “Don't be afraid of Tusk”; “God, honor and homeland”; “Instead of migration, we want reparation”; “At Bodnar (Minister of Justice, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar – PAP), a punishment will come.”

During the speeches, PiS politicians took the floor, including Dariusz Matecki, Janusz Kowalski and Przemysław Czarnek. Matecki argued that migration is one of the greatest threats of our time. “We must speak clear + not + for mass migration,” he emphasized. Kowalski noted that he wanted safe Poland, and Czarnek expressed the opinion that the migration pact means the lack of “sovereign, independent, beautiful and safe Poland.”

The organizers of the march wanted to submit a petition at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, in which they demand: restoring full control to the Polish-German border, stopping “unlawful transfer of illegal immigrants from Germany” and the government submitting an official diplomatic note by the government expressing opposition to the actions of the German side in this respect. Until the dissolution of the meeting, the attempt to deliver petitions was ineffective.

“Border Defense Movement” is an initiative appointed by Robert Bąkiewicz. As the organization indicates, its purpose is to defend the country's borders against mass migration.

The migration pact is to distribute responsibility for migration management in the Union between all member states; EU ministers approved him with the opposition of Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. The regulations contain so -called The mechanism of compulsory solidarity, which assumes the deployment of at least 30 thousand every year. migrants. Countries who will not want to consider their asylum applications (which may, but do not have to end in their acceptance), will have to pay 20 thousand. euro for each unpaid application or ensure the so -called Alternative solidarity means, such as staff delegating. The regulations also assume that the countries that are under migration pressure – so that these less burdened countries help even more burdened. In February this year. During the meeting with the chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister Donald Tusk declared that “Poland will not implement the migration pact in a way that could result in additional amounts of immigrants in Poland”, justifying its opposition with the migration burden of Poland due to the war in Ukrainian. Earlier he assured that “the relocation mechanism or paying for the lack of migrants will not apply to Poland.”

Controls on the German-Polish border have been going on since October 2023. The Germans introduced them to limit illegal migration. (PAP)
