Vlad Dragomir was captain and integral player in the success achieved by Pafos with AEL Limasson, score 2-1, in the first leg of the semifinal of the Cyprus Cup.

Instead of the classic captain's armband, the Romanian international made himself one with the name of Mircea Lucescu, thus paying tribute to the former great Romanian coach, who died on April 7.

Vlad Dragomir made 7 appearances for the first national team of Romania, being the starter in the last 6 matches of the “tricolors”. In the last match, the friendly with Slovakia, Mircea Lucescu was no longer on the technical bench. “Il Luce” was rushed to hospital after collapsing in the match's training session.
