The animal farm belonging to Mitică Vișan from Domnești commune was verified by the National Authority for Consumer Protection, following several notifications regarding unbearable odors and miserable conditions in the area. The ANPC president, Cristian Popescu Piedone, also participated in the control, together with the CJPC Ilfov commissioners, who discovered a very serious situation.
The farm, which operates on a natural person and sells products of animal origin, did not have sanitary-veterinary authorizations for the animal slaughter area. In addition, the blood resulting from the sacrifice was directed by a ditch to a viran land, and the disjections, feces and animal debris were thrown directly behind the farm, without respecting the norms of environmental protection or public health.
The inspectors found that over 400 goats and sheep were raised in completely unhealthy spaces, directly on the ground, in feces, without a hygienic pavement, which favors the appearance of rodents and microbes. “Alas, what smell! Regarding the products marketed, the inspectors found that they were kept in totally improper conditions. Given that the unit does not have a legal form of organization, the ANPC commissioners have no direct control competences over natural persons. Instead, they requested the support of the Public Health Directorate, the Sanitary-Veterinary Directorate, the Economic Guard and the Environmental Police.
Contraventional sanctions were applied totaling 6,000 lei. At the same time, suspicions were formulated regarding the existence of illicit trade activities, an aspect that will be investigated by the police officers from IPJ Ilfov.
