Achinsk officials only after a prosecutor's inspection found money for the inspection and recognition of a residential building as unsafe

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the prosecutor's office achieved recognition of a residential building as unsafe.
The press service of the supervisory agency said that a resident of Achinsk turned to the city administration commission with a request to check the municipally owned house on the street for damage. Comintern, 82.
“The commission withheld the application and did not consider it on time. The mayor's office only replied that the house was included in the plan for 2025–2026. A specialized organization is needed for the inspection, but no money was allocated and the examination was never carried out,” the press service said.
Only after the intervention of the prosecutor's office, which revealed violations of housing rights, the municipality found the money and hired experts to evaluate it. It took 60 days to prepare the conclusion, and after a few months the commission finally recognized the house as unsafe and subject to demolition.
“The residents breathed a sigh of relief – the prosecutor’s office ensured that the officials fulfilled their duties. Now the woman has a chance to be resettled: the law protects the right to safe housing, and not to endless waiting,” the supervisory agency noted.
