

“Today I announce the new support package of € 400 million in the field of marine safety. It will include more than 100 ships-patrol boats, transport boats, interceptors, ships of special operations. That is, a wide range of more than 100 ships. Secondly, the package also includes sea drones,” Brekmelmans said.
The release on the website of the defense department of the Netherlands states that we are talking about more than 100 high -speed patrol boats and vessels for special operations.
“The vessels are equipped with numerous sensors, weapons and communication systems. Dozens of sea drones are also part of the package. The first deliveries have already been made, they will last until 2026,” the ministry said.
The package announced by the Netherlands includes an anti-minute ship, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umarov specified, his statement is given by the press service of the department.
According to him, in 2025, security assistance will exceed the indicators of all previous years of full -scale war. During the 28th meeting of Ramstein, seven countries were announced for help from Ukraine, the minister added. He said that:
- The UK announced record assistance for drones – £ 350 million, which will allow Ukraine to transfer 100 thousand drones in 2025, its total military support will reach £ 4.5 billion (over $ 6.1 billion).
- Germany approved a new military assistance package of Kyiv for € 5 billion (it provides for financing the long -range weapons that will be produced in Ukraine, the transfer of air defense systems, weapons and ammunition).
- Belgium announced a long -term initiative providing for annual assistance to Ukraine in the amount of € 1 billion until 2029, and also announced the transfer of an anti -minute ship.
- Norway allocates $ 700 million per drones with focus to support the Ukrainian defense industry and $ 50 million to the NSATU Trust Fund fund.
- Canada-$ 45 million per drones, REB, IT solutions, as well as armored Coyote and Bison.
- Sweden will direct € 440 million to international programs for the purchase of artillery ammunition, drones and other weapons for Ukraine.
This is the first meeting of the group, which took place without the participation of the head of the Pentagon, although it was the USA that headed Ramstein after the founding of the initiative. The US Ministry of Defense explained the absence of a hegset with problems with its schedule. After taking office, the official did not yet participate in the work of the group in person. He joined the last meeting from the video, and then this was also explained by a schedule.
Context
After the start of full -scale Russian aggression in February 2022, Ukraine receives help from Western countries, including military and financial.
In the spring of 2022, the United States established the Ramstein format – monthly meetings of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine with the participation of representatives of more than 50 countries.
The previous, 27th, a meeting of Ramstein took place on April 11. According to his results, eight countries announced for the help of Ukraine.
