Products for homemade Easter cakes in Russia have fallen in price by almost 20% over the year

The cost of homemade Easter cakes has decreased by 19-20% compared to last year. Such dynamics were recorded in the Association of Retail Trade Companies (AKORT), Sever-Press reports.

Butter has fallen in price the most – by 19%, to 742 rubles per kilogram. Sugar became cheaper by 6% (59 rubles per kilogram), eggs – by 5% (84 rubles per dozen), milk – by 2% (67 rubles per liter), wheat flour – by 1% (28 rubles per kilogram).

A set of products for a classic butter cake (for six servings) has fallen in price by 148 rubles. For the option with vegetable oil – 48 rubles.

Ready-made Easter cakes can be bought in stores at a price of 40 rubles per 100 grams. A product weighing 300 grams will cost about 150 rubles.
