Fuel prices. Easter promotion of Orlen

From Saturday, April 4, to Tuesday, April 7, new fuel price limits apply at all gas stations in the country. According to information from the Ministry of Energy, EU95 petrol cannot cost more than PLN 6.21 per liter, EU98 petrol – PLN 6.82 per liter, and diesel fuel – PLN 7.87 per liter.
Government intervention in the fuel market coincides this time with Orlen's weekend promotion.

The company from Płock introduced the promotion every weekend from March 12, and extended it until Monday on holidays. Each driver who activates the coupon in the Orlen Vitay application and makes non-fuel purchases for a minimum of PLN 5 will receive a discount of PLN 35 per liter of fuel (up to 50 liters of gasoline or diesel oil). In the case of refueling only, without additional purchases, the discount will be 20 cents per liter after activating the coupon. This means that drivers using the application will definitely not pay more than:
- PLN 5.86 per liter of 95 petrol
- PLN 6.47 per liter of 98 petrol
- PLN 7.52 per liter of diesel fuel
The promotion is valid for a maximum of 50 liters of fuel. This means that it allows you to save PLN 17.50 if you use the maximum promotion limit, and in the case of refueling only, the saving will be PLN 10.
The promotion is valid at all Orlen stations and will last until May 3.
There will be no shortage of fuel
Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka announced on Wednesday that that there is currently no risk of interruption of fuel supplies to Poland. “We have these deliveries fully secured,” Motyka said at a press conference.
Orlen's president, Ireneusz Fąfara, also assured that there would be no shortage of fuel at stations in Poland. — Currently we are calm and you can be calm, all of you can be calm, that there will be no shortage of fuel – said the head of the Płock concern during a press conference at the Ministry of State Assets.
Recently, PERN reported that its fuel base in Dębogórze (Pomeranian Voivodeship), which receives deliveries of petroleum products that are brought to Poland by sea, is operating without any disruptions and at the same time it is recording an increase in the reloading service of diesel oil. The company emphasized that this base has free resources and is prepared for even greater imports.
Maximum prices. How do they work?
In accordance with the government initiative CPN (Fuel Prices Lower), the maximum price announced by the Minister of Energy applies from the day following its publication in Monitor Polski. If announced before non-working days and holidays, the rate will apply until the next business day. The Ministry publishes an announcement on maximum fuel prices on weekdays. Selling above the maximum price is subject to a penalty of up to PLN 1 millionand the National Tax Administration is responsible for inspections.
