Cucumbers delight with harvest: 3 simple fertilizers save even the weakest vines

There are three easy ways to bring cucumbers back to life, all of which you already have in your kitchen. When the vines wither, the flowers fall off, and the fruits are bitter or do not set at all, do not rush to write off the harvest. Most often, plants simply do not have enough support during a stressful period: heat, temperature changes or lack of nutrition.

What to do?

1. Green herb infusion

Fill a bucket halfway with fresh nettles, dandelions or grass clippings, and fill to the top with water. Leave for 3-4 days. Strain and water at the root (0.5 liters per bush). It is a gentle but powerful source of nitrogen and trace elements. Do this once every 10 days, and the lashes will grow again.

2. Whey with iodine

Dilute 1 liter of whey in 10 liters of water, add 5-7 drops of iodine. Spray leaves and stems in the evening. The serum creates a protective film against fungi, and iodine strengthens the immune system. Repeat once every 2 weeks, especially in rainy weather.

3. Yeast feeding

Dissolve 10 g of dry yeast in 10 liters of warm water, add 2 tbsp. spoons of sugar. Leave for 2 hours, then pour under the root. This awakens soil bacteria and helps cucumbers absorb nutrition faster. Once a month is enough.

Within 5–7 days you will notice: new shoots will become lush green, the barren flower will decrease, and the ovaries will begin to grow evenly and without bitterness.
