Romania has a first team in the Budapest Final Four in women's handball

The girls from CSM Bucharest defeated the Turkish girls from Kepez BSK, score 35-28, and qualified for the Final Four of the Handball Champions League (EHF Youth Club Trophy), the competition dedicated to junior girls.

On June 6 and 7, in the weekend in which the Final Four of the big teams is also scheduled, also in the MVP Dome, the juniors from CSM Bucharest will fight for continental glory.

In the qualification tournament in Ankara, the girls trained by Elena and Alexandru Moise passed Odense yesterday, score 33-29.

The juniors of CSM Bucharest go to the Final Four in Budapest

Today, they respected their status as favorites and defeated local team Kepez BSK. There was a star player scare. The handball players from Turkey led 9-5. From that moment, everything went in favor of the people of Bucharest. CSM entered the cabins with the advantage, score 17-15.

Maria Antonescu (9 goals), Maria Sprîcenatu (8) and Maria Petrache (7) they were unstoppable in the second half. The following also contributed to the 35-28 triumph: Bianca Zabuliche (5), Bianca Marinescu (1), Cristiana Drîmbăreanu (1), Mara Iliescu (1), Karina Babu (1), Raisa Stanciu (1) and Maya Iancu (1).

The juniors of CSM Bucharest, qualified for the Final Four in Budapest

In the Final Four on June 6 and 8, in Budapest, they qualified Gyor and Ferencváros.

In the last qualifying tournament, the one organized in Bistrita, the final will take place today, between Team Esbjerg and Debrecen. Gloria placed 4th, being defeated in the small final by Borussia Dortmund.

Do senior women also go to Budapest?

CSM Bucharest hopes to go with the first team to Budapest. For that, they have to get past Team Esbjerg in the quarter-finals. The tour is scheduled in Denmark on April 18. The decisive leg will be in Bucharest, on April 26.
