The general director of Nazarovskaya GRES and municipal deputies discussed the progress of environmental modernization of the station

At a meeting of the standing commission on property, land relations and ecology of the Nazarovo District Council of Deputies, General Director of Nazarovo State District Power Plant Dmitry Morozov presented the environmental modernization program that was launched at the station this year.

The expected key result of the environmental renovation of Nazarovskaya GRES is a reduction in emissions of suspended particles by 47.2%.

Nazarovo State District Power Plant is the only source of centralized heat supply for the city of Nazarovo and the most important node of the Siberian energy system. In 2025, the enterprise received a comprehensive environmental permit (IEP) and an approved Environmental Efficiency Improvement Program (EPI), which became the legal basis for large-scale modernization of gas treatment equipment.

“The environmental modernization of the Nazarovo State District Power Plant is not just about meeting planned targets. This is a matter of strategic development of the city of Nazarovo, quality of life and fulfillment of the obligations that the SGK company has undertaken to the state and residents,” emphasized Dmitry Morozov, General Director of Nazarovo State District Power Plant. — Despite the fact that the city of Nazarovo has not yet entered the federal Clean Air program, we independently initiated this work. Our approach remains unchanged: we ensure the region's energy security while implementing leading environmental responsibility standards.”

Preparation for the modernization took two years; design and survey work on the modernization of gas treatment plants was completed in 2025. Key events will start this year. In the fall of 2026, construction and installation work will begin to modernize the battery-cyclone ash collectors at the boilers of the 2nd power unit; supplies of equipment have already been organized. In the summer, the replacement of wet scrubbers at the 7th power unit will begin as part of the upgrade of the gas cleaning system of the central dust plant.

In addition, by 2028, all four chimneys of the station will be equipped with automated emission control system (EACS) sensors – real-time data will be transmitted to Rosprirodnadzor. In conjunction with the environmental program, a large-scale repair campaign is being carried out: in 2026, more than 2 billion rubles are allocated for these purposes. In April, major repairs of the 3rd power unit begin; by the end of the year, specialists will repair the 2nd, 4th and 7th units.

Following the results of the report, the Chairman of the Nazarovo District Council of Deputies Olga Martus thanked Dmitry Morozov for the openness and completeness of the information, noting that the Company strives to improve the environmental situation in the city and is already taking all the necessary steps for this.

“It instills hope and confidence that the work that has already begun at the enterprise and will continue in subsequent years at the Nazarovskaya GRES will give residents the expected result,” noted the chairman of the Council of Deputies. Olga Martus also emphasized that the environmental situation in Nazarovo requires an integrated approach and it is important to pay attention to other industrial sites and facilities, including the private sector, which makes up 94% of the total housing stock in the city.

It should be noted that the modernization of the Nazarovo State District Power Plant is part and a logical continuation of the large-scale program of the SGC to reduce the burden on the environment in the region, implemented since 2018. Earlier, at a meeting of the Public Expert Council on Environmental Issues under the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Mikhail Kotyukov noted the company’s initiative to invest in the renovation of the Nazarovo State District Power Plant outside the framework of the federal Clean Air program.
