In the Krasnoyarsk Territory in January and February 2026, 47.3 thousand residents underwent reproductive medical examination.

According to the regional Ministry of Health, more than 29 thousand men and 18 thousand women had their health checked. The most active age is from 18 to 34 years.

The free reproductive health assessment program has been operating in Russia since 2024 as part of compulsory medical insurance, and since 2025 it has been included in the national project “Family”. Men and women aged 18 to 49 years can undergo the examination.

The examination takes place in two stages. The first stage includes an examination by a doctor and basic tests. If deviations are detected, the patient is sent to the second, more in-depth stage. He is prescribed additional tests, an ultrasound, and a second consultation with a doctor to draw up a treatment plan.

Screening is necessary for couples who are planning a child, as well as for general health monitoring.

“Many diseases, especially infections and hormonal disorders, can go silent for years, without causing pain or discomfort, but at the same time cause irreparable damage to health. Reproductive medical examination is an effective tool to help the patient before serious problems arise,” noted Tatyana Kadochnikova, head of the department of the Krasnoyarsk Interdistrict Maternity Hospital No. 4.
