American MQ-9 Reaper drones over Iran. 16 machines have already been lost
The US military lost another two MQ-9 Reaper drones near Isfahan, central Iran. As a result the number of Reapers lost has risen to 16 since the U.S. and Israel began the war on Iran. This is according to two US officials who spoke to CBS News on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly.
MQ-9 Reaper is a remotely piloted aircraft used for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, but can also be used for precision attacks.

The MQ-9 Reaper is easier to knock out of the sky because they were designed for counterterrorism operations in conditions of weak or no air defense, and not for countries with modern missile systems.
Reaper's top speed is approximately 480 km per hour. Depending on the version of the Reaper drone, the cost of a single aircraft can reach up to $30 million.
