The Disciplinary Commission within the FRF severely sanctioned the club Rapid for the supporters' behavior in the derby with Dinamo (3-2): a match without spectators on home ground and a fine of 60,000 lei! The match where the penalty will be served will be the one against FC Argeș, on April 13.
The sanctions come as a result of the supporters' behavior in the most recent game played by Rapid at home, 3-2 against Dinamo on March 14.
“According to art. 82.1 and 3.a and c, related to art. 83.2.d of the RD, the club FC Rapid 1923 SA is sanctioned with the measure of scheduling a game without spectators and a sports penalty of 60,000 lei”, it is stated in the resolution published on the LPF website.
The regulation articles on the basis of which the Giulești club was sanctioned refer to the introduction of “explosive, incendiary and fumigant objects and materials” into the stadium, as well as “igniting or throwing towards other spectators or towards/into the field of play” those objects.
At the match with U Cluj, 10 sectors closed. Without spectators, it will be with FC Argeș
The closed gates penalty will only be applied to the match with FC Argeș, in the 4th stage of the play-off, because in the next home game, with U Cluj in the 3rd stage, the Rapidists have to pay a separate sanction, latter.
It is about the closure of 10 sectors of the stadiumas a result of the incidents in the 1-1 draw with the University of Craiova in the last stage of the regular season.
From GSP information, Rapid will request that women and children under 14 be allowed access to the match with FC Argeș.
The sanction imposed today was more drastic precisely because Rapid had similar precedents on its “record”.
Against U Cluj, Rapidist fans will not be able to occupy sectors 101, 108, 109, 112, 113, 114, 120, 121, 201 and 202 of the stadium.
Rapid: “We will play FC Argeș without you in the stands”
Rapid reacted following today's decision:
After we were already affected by the recent sanctions, the incidents at the match with Dinamo brought us to the point where we will play the match with FC Argeș at home without you in the stands!
We take all the necessary measures so that children accompanied by adults are allowed access to the game, according to the Disciplinary Regulations of the FRF, Art. 27, where the access rule is: one adult, male or female, with a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 10 children. Ex. 7 children will come accompanied by an adult, 23 children will be accompanied by 3 adults.
