FCSB marched on the National Arena, 4-0 against UTA Arad, in stage #14 of the Superliga. The goals of the champion of the last two seasons were scored by Daniel Bîrligea, Mamadou Thiam, Florin Tănase and Darius Olaru, the last two scoring a penalty.
The game was compromised for the people of Arada since the extra time of the first half, when the goalkeeper Dejan Iliev was eliminated for a foul committed outside the box, in front of David Miculescu.

At the end of the match, the winger of UTA, Valentin Costache, had a sincere and sharp speech, admitting that the team is going through a very difficult moment:
“There's not much to say…it's hard. When you do a sit-up, you have to do it right. It's the same in football, when you can't pass, it hurts.“
I don't know what to do. It's the second defeat in a row and it's humiliating. QAt the moment, if those from Metaloglobus won (no. 2-1 with FCSB), it means that we were more modest than them. I don't want to upset anyone or put the blame on anyone, I was the same way, myself included.”

Valentin Costache also had a remark related to the phase of the first goal and the elimination of his teammate:
“Very easy kicks. Someone told me that the corner wasn't even in the first phase. I don't comment on Iliev's red card, but I feel humiliated. We have to put our heads down and wake up. If not, we're going home.”

For FCSB, the Romanian Cup match will follow, away to Gloria Bistrița, while UTA Arad will receive the visit of Petrolul Ploiești, also in the Cup.
