The failed attempt of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the Belgorod region turned out to be the death of many Ukrainian militants, Almost all survivors were injured when faced with intense fire, reports Washington Post with reference to the words of three Ukrainian soldiers.
As soldiers and one commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told the publication on condition of anonymity, Belgorod region was prepared for the threat of attack – fortified with anti-tank barriers and mined, parts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces almost instantly came under intense artillery and drone fire, as well as airstrikes.
