STENOGRAMS. Cristian Anton, the head of ARR, was supervised by prosecutors in his own home. They recorded him counting his money

The anti-corruption prosecutors installed microphones and cameras on Cristian Anton, the head of the Romanian Road Authority (ARR), detained for acts of corruption, including in the apartment where he lived. Transcripts from the file show discussions about the money that was given to pass the RAR exams and how Anton counted, in a whisper, the money hidden around the house, according to Mediafax.

During the search of Cristian Anton's home, the investigators found around 500,000 euros, part of the money being hidden in shoe boxes.

In the DNA corruption file, 12 people are targeted, including Cristian Anton. They are suspected by prosecutors of taking bribes between 600 and 1,500 euros for the subjects of the examination for professional certificates for professional drivers in the transport of goods, according to Snoop's sources.

Transcripts from the DNA file and obtained by Mediafax show how DNA prosecutors have cascading wiretapping and ambient recordings in the case of the director of the Romanian Road Authority.

How Cristian Anton counted his money in his own house

During the investigation, the DNA also set up interception equipment in Cristian Anton's apartment.

“Inside the apartment it was possible to observe how Anton Cristian received a large, voluminous envelope from him. (…) From the subsequent gestures of Anton Cristian, it follows without a doubt that he brought him the sums of money collected as a result of the exam on 22.11.2025, and that there are numerous sums of money in his building. Later, left alone in the apartment, Anton Cristian spent a considerable period of time counting sums of money”, according to transcripts from the prosecutors' file.

“At 7:28 p.m., sounds similar to those produced by the manipulation of an envelope or some papers began to be heard, after which, very shortly, Anton Cristian was surprised while going from the living room area (where he stayed with Radu Bogdan Alexandru), to the bedroom area, holding in his left hand a brown package (most likely a large envelope, folded at one end), which seemed to have contents.

Also at 19:28, sounds similar to those produced by the opening/closing of a mechanical lock were heard.

At 19:34, 19:35 and 19:36, sounds similar to those produced by handling envelopes or papers began to be heard.

At 7:38 p.m., sounds similar to those produced by counting sums of money (banknotes), respectively, by using rubber bands, but also by handling envelopes/papers, began to be heard.

Sounds similar to those produced during the counting of sums of money (banknotes) were also heard at 19:39 and 19:40 respectively.

Next, at 7:50 p.m., Anton Cristian came from the bedroom area to the kitchen area, carrying a large, brown envelope, without contents, which he tore (it seems to be the same envelope, which he initially took, with contents, from the living room area to the bedroom area)”.

Another passage in the file includes precise descriptions of the atmosphere in the ARR chief's apartment.

“During the counting, sounds similar to those produced during the handling of banknotes were heard. Immediately after the completion of the counting described above, sounds similar to the use of rubber bands, as well as a pen, were heard.

At 20:38, Anton Cristian turned off the light in the living room and kitchen area, after which he took a ladder-type chair, which he carried and placed in front of the kitchen furniture”, the transcripts also show.

“Next, Anton Cristian climbed onto that chair, after which, shortly after, he took from that furniture area, a package like a cardboard box or a larger envelope, which seemed to have contents (Anton Cristian lost his balance when he got off the ladder-type chair).

At 8:56 p.m., sounds similar to those produced by the handling of envelopes or papers were heard again, after which Anton Cristian took the package (similar to a cardboard box or a larger envelope), took it to the kitchen furniture area and climbed onto the ladder-type chair.
Anton Cristian placed that package somewhere in the furniture (without being able to see the place), after which he got off the ladder-type chair and turned on the light in the living room and kitchen area.
Immediately after that, at 20:57 and 20:58, Anton Cristian made, in a whisper, the following counts:

ANTON CRISTIAN: …(unintelligible)… 3, 4, 5 …(unintelligible)… 8, 9, 10 …(unintelligible)… 14, 15, 16 …(unintelligible)… 20.
ANTON CRISTIAN: 1, 2, 3 …(unintelligible)… 8, 9. You're going to fuck me!(…)”.

“Immediately after that (also at 9:05 p.m.), Anton Cristian left the living room area towards the bedroom area, most likely carrying the suitcase/suitcase type luggage (on the way to the bedroom area, he put a bunch of keys on the table near the air conditioner). At 9:06 p.m., Anton Cristian returned to the living room area, where he took another, smaller package (which appears to be partially wrapped in paper)

Next, Anton Cristian turned off the light in the living room and kitchen area, after which he went near the kitchen furniture and climbed on the same ladder-type chair. In the following moments, sounds similar to those produced by the use of a safe were heard,” according to the transcripts.
